iStumbler Release 96

iStumbler is the leading wireless discovery tool for Mac OS X, providing plugins for finding AirPort networks, Bluetooth devices and Bonjour services with your Mac.

Release 96 updates the Bluetooth plugin to support device inquiry under Mac OS 10.4 (Tiger), allowing you to monitor all discoverable bluetooth devices, and integrates the Growl framework for notification support.

iStumbler Spectrum Widget

The iStumbler Spectrum Widget displays a virtual spectrum analyzer on your Dashboard , allowing you to visually detect network radio frequency overlap. Spectrum gets it's information directly from iStumbler to provide you with the most accurate signal information available.

iStumbler + Spectrum Release 95 and later are available as a a Universal Binary for use on both Power PC and Intel based Macs. Only cursory testing has been performed on a pre-release MacBook Pro but indications are that iStumbler works as well on Intel as it does on a Power PC Processor.

Release 96 marks the end of the iStumbler subscription program.

iStumbler is available under a BSD Style Open Source License. You can download iStumbler source code (1.5M), modify it freely and submit patches to me for consideration.
